Claughan entertained Ballybrown on Tuesday evening last in the Horse and hound Bar Gearld Griffin Street Junior B Hurling League. Ballybrown went away somewhat comfortable winners on a final score of Ballybrown 1-10 Claughan 1-2. Those to impressive for Ballybrown were Eamonn Lyons, Thomas Cronin & Peter O'Rourke, whilst Claughan were best served by John Holmes in goals and Finbar Hogan.

Ballybrown travelled to Pallaskenry on Wednesday 15th last to compete in the D.J. Daly Champion Hurley's Junior A Hurling League. With a large section of this panel training hard with the Ballybrown Senior Squad in Clarina it was evident from an early stage that they had too much strength in depth against a youthful Pallaskenry side. Goals from Andrew Cliffe and Killian Gavin and points from no fewer than seven different players saw an interval lead of Ballybrown 2-14 Pallaskenry 0-1. Wind assisted in the second half saw a resurgent Pallaskenry side take the game to the visitors as they scored a goal and two points early on. This game was effectively over when Robert O'Grady scored his side's third goal and the game eventually finished Ballybrown 3-18 Pallaskenry 1-5. The Ballybrown defence was well marshalled by Brian Quinn (0-1) and he was well assisted by younger players Thomas Quinn and Robert Davoren (0-1). Evan Loftus (0-7) ran the middle of the field and Kevin Foster (0-1) covered an amount of ground throughout the game. The forwards of Andrew Cliffe (1-4), Robert O'Grady (1-1) and Killian Gavin (1-0), William Stanners(0-2), Patrick Hartigan (0-1) were tormentors of the Pallaskenry defence for the entire game.

Patrickswell paid a visit to Pallaskenry on Sunday evening may 19th to take on the local side in the D.J. Daly Champion Hurley's Junior A Hurling League. The first half was a fairly even affair for the first twenty minutes or so but Patrickswell scored a goal and a few points to take charge of this before the interval. The half time score was Pallaskenry 0-8 Patrickswell 1-13. The second half saw a more balanced game once again but in fairness Patrickswell were never in too much bother and ran out winners on a final score of Pallaskenry 0-15 Patrickswell 2-21. Pallaskenry were best served by corner back Kevin O'Connell at corner back, Martin Nunan, and midfielder Gerard McKeogh who scored a few memorable points. Patrickswell had G Murphy in goals, the O'Grady brothers and Dara Shanahan as chief tormentors of the opposition.

Mungret took on neighbours Ballybrown in a sodden pitch on Thursday evening last. The influence of Brian Tobin assisted by James & John Roche and Paudie Kirby was just too much for a depleted Ballybrown side. The game was level at the interval, Ballybrown 1-1 Mungret 0-4. The second half saw some fine score taking from the Mungret lads and they eventually won by 10 points. Final score Mungret 2-13 Ballybrown 2-3
