Limerick.....2-20 Antrim...........2-6 Limerick are just 60 minutes away from winning the All-Ireland under 21 hurling championship for the third year on the trot after this comfortable 14-point semi-final victory over Antrim at Parnell Park on Sunday 25th August. The Glensmen trailed by just three points at the interval but Limerick found an extra gear on the restart, scoring 2-2 in three minutes to effectively end the game as a contest. Limerick's victory came just four days after they won a thrilling Munster final replay at Tipperary's expense. The Shannonsiders were quickly out of the starting blocks and led by 0-6 to 0-1 after 15 minutes. However, Antrim forced their way back into contention when Sean Delargy fired home from close range in the 18th minute. Limerick led by 0-9 to 1-3 at the interval but within 60 seconds of the restart, a Mark Keane goal had extended their advantage to six points. A fine point from Eoin Foley was followed a goal from a penalty by the same player. Michael McClements scored a late consolation goal for the Ulster champions but it was Limerick who advanced to an All-Ireland final showdown with Galway next month.
