Gone tot he 'Well once to often

Limerick hurling giants Patrickswell will commence their championship season this year without the services of two of the club's greatest ever exponents of the game, Gary Kirby and Anthony Carmody.
After twenty-one year's service, former All Stars Gary Kirby and Anthony Carmody have decided to call it a day. Kirby, who is now 37, has amassed a massive collection of ten county senior medals starting back in 1984.
His impressive total is one less than his fellow clubman Carmody, who was a member of the successful team of 1983. Kirby also won four All Stars and captained his county in the 1994 All Ireland final against Offaly. His impressive medal haul includes All Ireland minor (1984) and U-21 (1987) titles.
Carmody has also been an impressive collector of silverware over his long and distinguished career, also collecting minor and U-21 titles along with two provincial titles.
