A Chairde,
VHI CUL CAMPS:
The VHI Cul Camp starts in the club pitch next Mon 25th July @ 9.45 am to 2.30pm and concludes on Fri 29/Jul. Activities are GAME - BASED - a strong emphasis is placed on skill acquisition and are organised in an age appropriate manner with a view to: optimising learning, enhancing friendships, improving physical & psychological well being promoting school and club links.
On the last day of the camp a "blitz" will be organised to provide each child with an introduction to competitive games in both hurling & football. The cost of this Cul Camp is €55 for 1st child & €45 for 2nd child which also includes a quality jersey, shorts, socks & kit bag.

Adult Section:
Last Thu 14/Jul saw Claughaun defeat Mungret in the final of the Limerick Post Newspaper City Intermediate Football championship on a score line of 1-13 to 0-7. We led 1-4 to 0-5 at half time with Matt Costelloe grabbing our green flag. A very open second half saw us tack on another 9 points and some stubborn defending meant Mungret found scores hard to come by. A great team performance saw capt Mark O'Halloran lift the David Curtin cup for Claughaun for the very 1st time. Team: Padraig Hickey, Robbie Hannan, Shane Mullally, Mark O Halloran, Philip Judge, Pa McGarry, Brendan Smith, Thomas O'Grady, Matt Costelloe,
Cian Byrnes, James O'Neill, Tadhg Bennett, Gary Bateman, Tim Byrnes, Gary O Connor.
Adrian Healy, Emmet Harty, Rory Collins, Graham Costelloe, Andrew Carey, Garreth
Kennedy, Tony McCarthy, Wesley Fitzgerald.
The previous Mon 11/Jul saw Finbar Hogan's junior hurlers start their JBHC with a well merited victory over Mungret on a scoreline of 4-14 to 2-15. Some great scoring most notably by 'Two Goal Tony McCarthy' and Greg O'Connor (1-10) proved to be the difference between the sides.
