April’s Club Championship Games Postponed

Coiste Ceannais na gComortaisí Luimní have made the decision to postponed all club championship games fixed for this April.

It is proposed that they will engage with the Provincial Council and National CCC with a view to restructure our Games Programme. This may include the redesign of the current formats. If so, they will engage with the clubs prior to any decision being made.

In summary, the club championships in Senior, Premier Intermediate, Intermediate, all U21 and Minor Hurling and Senior, Intermediate and Minor Football will not proceed in the month of April.

County Leagues will resume when sanction is approved by the Statutory Bodies.

A Good News Story! Jimmy Langan – Presented with his West GAA Merit Award

Before the self-isolation period kicked in, Jimmy Langan was presented with his well-deserved West Limerick GAA Merit Award in The Bog Garden. Jimmy was presented with the award by both Mike O’Sullivan, Chairman of the West Board and our own Club President, Mike Dillon. Well done to Jimmy, we will look forward to seeing you at many more matches when play resumes.

The Bog Garden – Goal Areas Re-sodded

The show must go on as they say! Another good news story, although the Bog Garden is currently closed due to the current climate, it has presented us with the opportunity of carrying out some much needed maintenance work. With that, both Goal Areas have been re-sodded in the last few days. This will ensure that the playing surface is maintained to the highest of standards once play will resume. Please be advised that social distancing guidelines were strictly adhered to at all times, while the works were carried out!
