FOR THE WEST JUNIOR B FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL
REPLAY AGAINST GRANGH/ BALLINGARRY, ON THIS COMING
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 17 TH , IN MICK NEVILLE PARK, AT 8PM
(WITH EXTRA-TIME IF NECESSARY), REFEREE JASON MULLINS.

On our way to the final in the group stages in round 1 we had a bye, in round 2 we received a
walkover from St. Senan’s, in round 3 St. Kieran’s on a scoreline of 1-17 to 3-06, in round 4
we defeated Granagh/ Ballingarry, on a scoreline 2-12 to 1-12, in round 5 we defeated
Mountcollins on a scoreline of 5-12 to 0-04, to finish top of our group and set up a semi-Final
against St. Kieran’s which we a scoreline of 0-16 to 2-04 and in the final we drew with
Granagh/ Ballingarry on a scoreline of 3-13 to 2-16, to puts back into the final for the third
year in a row in 2016 we lost to Granagh/ Ballingarry on a scoreline of 1-12 to 0-08, in 2017
we defeated Knockaderry on a scoreline of 1-14 to 0-04, come today (Wednesday) week we
hoping to achieve back to back titles against Granagh/ Ballingarry, on this coming
Wednesday October 17 th , in Mick Neville Park, at 8pm (with extra-time if necessary), referee
Jason Mullins.

Claughaun Old Christians 3-16
This was a game of two halves with Claughaun leading at the break by 3-11 to 1-05, with our
goal coming from Michael O’Sullivan and then in the second half we out-scored them by 3-8
to 0-05, with our goals coming Michael O’Sullivan, Damien Lacey and Micheál Brosnan and
this game ended in the draw and it goes to replay, on this coming Saturday October 13 th .
Claughaun/ Old Christians scored the first seven points on the game and then Dromcollogher/
Broadford scored their first 1-1 of the game coming from Michael O’Sullivan with 13
minutes gone in the game and the point coming from Derry McCarthy to leave three points
between the sides. Claughaun/ Old Christians scored the next point of the game and then
Dromcollogher/ Broadford then scored the next three points and these points came from
Derry McCarthy, Paul Madigan and Keith Lacey to leave a point between the sides.
Claughaun/ Old Christians scored the next 1-2 of the game to lead by six points with 28
minutes gone in the first half and then Derry McCarthy scored a point for Dromcollogher/
Broadford from play to leave five points between the sides. Claughaun/ Old Christians
scored the next 2-1 of the game to lead by 12 points at the break. To leave the score at half-
time Claughaun/ Old Christians 3-11 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-05.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points of the second half and these points
came form Keith Lacey and Denis Donegan to leave ten points between the sides and then
Claughaun/ Old Christians scored the next point to put 11 points between the sides.
Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the 1-3 of the game with goal coming from Michael
O’Sullivan his second of the game and with of these two of these points coming from Keith
Lacey and the other point coming from Derry McCarthy a pointed free to leave five points
between the sides with 46 minutes gone in the game and then Claughaun/ Old Christians
scored the next point of the to lead by six points. Damien Lacey scored the next goal of the
game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford with 51 minutes gone in the game to leave three points
between the sides and then Claughaun/ Old Christians scored the next point of the game to
put four between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the 1-2 of the game with the
goal coming from Micheál Brosnan and the two points coming from Derry McCarthy to give
us the lead for the first time during the game with 56 minutes gone in the game and then
Claughaun/ Old Christians scored the next point of the to bring sides back on level for the
second time during the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford took the lead again by a scoring
goal from Shane Murphy and then Claughaun/ Old Christians scored the last point of the
game in the last puck of the game to bring sides back on level terms for the third during the
game and to send the game to a replay. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/
Broadford 4-16 to Claughaun/ Old Christians 3-13.

This was a very tight game played down in Abbeyfeale on Sunday last with Athea/
Mountcollins were slightly the better team on the night scoring the two goals in the first half
of the game and we have Granagh/ Ballingarry and St. Senan’s left to play in the group.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points of the game and these points came from
Ronan Cahill and Damien Burke and then Athea/ Mountcollins scored first goal of the game
with 13 minutes gone in the game to lead by a point. Ronan Cahill scored another point for
Dromcollogher/ Broadford to bring sides back on level terms for the first time during the
game and then Athea/ Mountcollins scored the next three points of the game to lead by three
points. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point from Damien Burke to leave two
points between the sides and then Athea/ Mountcollins scored another goal before the end of
the half to lead by six points at the break. To leave the score at half-time Athea/
Mountcollins 2-4 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-4.
Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first point of the second half coming from Killian
Lynch to leave five points between the sides and then Athea/ Mountcollins scored the point
of the game to lead six points once again. Denis Donegan scored a pointed free for

lead by six points once again. Ronan Cahill scored the next point for Dromcollogher/
Broadford to leave five points between the sides and then Athea/ Mountcollins scored the
next two points to put seven points. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last five points of
the game to leave two points between the sides at end of the game with two of these points

To our U21 Footballers management team led by Derry McCarthy and our U21 Footballers
Management team led by Jack Ryan Captain against Athea/ Mountcollins, we were defeated
by Athea/ Mountcollins on a scoreline of 2-08 to 0-12, in the West U21 Football
Championship Group1 Round 1.


To our U16 Footballers Management and Players against Galtee Gaels, we lost on a scoreline
of 1-11 to 1-6, in the U16 Football Shield Division 3 Semi-Final.

Results of the 309 th draw took place on Monday October 8 th , in Foley’s Bar, Broadford and
the numbers drawn were: 5, 10, 20, 30 there was no winner of the jackpot at €1,700 and there
were three winners of match three at €105 and they each got €35 each and they were:
Neenan, Broadford, Jamie Noonan, Monaleen, Castlemahon and Joe Daly, Tullylease the
two lucky dips of €50 each and they were: Ide Forde, Broadford and Richie O’Hanlon,
