Galbally club notes

Galbally GAA are indebted to all who assisted with a highly successful Blitz and Family Fun Day last Saturday, and particularly to Pat Byrnes who ran the operation and devoted a huge amount of time to the event in recent days. Galbally GAA would also like to thank the following: All those who cut, lined and prepared the field, Those who sponsored prizes, AXA insurance, Castle Oaks Hotel, Aherlow House Hotel, John Kiely and the Limerick Hurling Team, Team Registration Personnel, Referees and Game Co-Ordinators, Those who donated confectionary, PaJo Bouncy Castles, Those who ran the Tea and Coffee Stand, Shop, Barbecue and those who sold tickets, Traffic Stewards, Photographers, Help given by Galbally Rugby Club, Galbally Community Council Ltd., Galbally National School and Galbally Soccer Club. Those who helped tidy after the long day, The teams that participated and their families who supported us, and the Liam Lynch Pipe Band Anglesboro who created a Munster Championship type atmosphere for the parade and Amhran na bhFiann.

 

The Intermediate Footballers played County Senior Football Champions Adare at Mungret in the County League later on Saturday and were beaten by 3-14 to 3-11. The team was: Ger Ryan, Frank Cussen, Tony Henebry, Michael O'Dwyer, Cathal Shanahan, John Kearns, Eoin Halligan, Mike Donovan, James Ryan, Jacko Mullane, Eoin Bourke, Jamie Morrissey, Ger Quinlan, Mark Quinlan, Gary McCarthy.
