Munster Junior Hurling Quarter Final
St Patricks 0 11 Ardmore 4 20
14 Man St Patricks were well beaten by a strong Waterford side in the gaelic grounds. With one player unavailable and three carrying knocks from the previous week and unused subs , it was a chance for others to impress.Very competitive in the opening ten minutes against a stiff breeze two goals in a minute from Ardmore, one after a strong challenge on our goalkeeper went unpunished, turned the game on its head. St Patricks performed admirably for the rest of the half and had the lead back to five points and playing well. Four points in quick succession before the break stretched the lead again and Ardmore led 2 10 to 7 points at half time. On the restart St Patricks were to get the first score and looked well set to mount a challenge. The concession of a well taken goal by Seamus Prendergast and then minutes later when St Patricks were reduced to fourteen men this all but finished the game. Ardmore were clinical all through and St Patricks were up against really impressive opposition today and can have no complaints.
Again like last year where we played the eventual All Ireland champions a week before the county final it was a tough day at the office and with one eye on the big prize next week it was always going to be a tough fixture.
Next Sunday 12th Of November at 2pm in Bruff we meet Kilmallock in the third instalment of the County Junior Hurling Final. We ask one last time for your support on the day as this is sure to be another cracking game.
