GAA on TV this weekend: two live and one deferred game

This weekend sees live championship action back on our screens in a new look championship.

On Sunday Kilkenny travel to Parnell Park to face Dublin in the new Round Robin Leinster SHC, with coverage getting underway on RTE2 at 1.15pm.

That is followed by the Connacht SFC quarter-final between Mayo and Galway from MacHale Park on the same station.

BBC2 NI has full deferred coverage of the Donegal v Cavan Ulster SFC preliminary round tie at 7pm.

You can also catch the Laochra Gael featuring Mickey Harte at 5.40pm on TG4.

The Sunday Game is on RTE2 at 9.30pm with highlights from all the senior matches.

Monday has TG4's highlights show, GAA 2018, on at 8pm.

Sunday 13 May

RTE2, 1.15pm, Dublin v Kilkenny, Leinster SHC round 1 (Throw in 2pm)
Michael Lyster is joined by Anthony Daly, Henry Shefflin and Liam Sheedy with commentate from Darragh Maloney and Michael Duignan.

RTE2, 3.30pm, Mayo v Galway, Connacht SFC quarter-final (Throw in 4pm)
Colm O'Rourke, Joe Brolly and Tomás Ó Sé join Michael Lyster with Ger Canning and Dessie Dolan on commentary duty.

TG4, 5.40pm, Laochra Gael - Mickey Harte
Hailed as a tactical genius and the father of contemporary football, Tyrone Football Manager Mickey Harte has three All-Ireland titles and six Ulster Championship titles to his credit. He is also a grief counsellor, spiritual mentor and motivational speaker.

BBC2 NI, 7pm, Donegal v Cavan, Ulster SFC preliminary round (Deferred coverage)
Mark Sidebottom presents full deferred coverage with post-match analysis from Oisin McConville and Martin McHugh. Thomas Niblock is joined on commentary by Martin Clarke.

RTE2, 9.30pm, The Sunday Game
Des Cahill is joined by Brendan Cummins, Ciaran Whelan, Jackie Tyrrell and Sean Cavanagh to present highlights of the weekend's Championship fixtures, including Donegal v Cavan, Louth v Carlow, Offaly v Wicklow, Wexford v Laois and Mayo v Galway in football, and Offaly v Galway and Dublin v Kilkenny in hurling.
