Hall of Fame Award
It is a great honour and privilege for Drumkeerin GAA to announce Andy Redican as the winner of the Hall of Fame award for Coiste Chontae Liatroma 2011. A very worthy winner, Andy has been involved in the Gaa circles for the last 38 years from Vocational schools where he was a coach and games organiser in Lough Allen College, mentor with Leitrim Co Vocational schools team to Chairperson of both Co Leitrim Vocational Schools GAA and Connacht Vocational Schools GAA.With Co Leitrim GAA Andy chaired the commission that examined GAA in Co Leitrim also examining an Bord na n-Óg.He was a delegate to the Senior board and Bord na n-Óg, compiled and wrote history of Leitrim GAA in the 1970s for Sceal Liatroma. For Drumkeerin GAA it would be easier to mention the positions he didn't hold but from 1973 to 2010 Andy was Chairperson, Secretary, P.R.O, Oifigeail Gaeilge.As manager and coach of many under age teams he won U-12, U-14, U-16 and minor titles while also co-ordinator of Scór na nóg and senior Scór. This of course is a follow up to the County Leitrim GAA club award in 1988 and thats just the short version of Andy's commitment and dedication to GAA over those many years. This Andy is a merited award for your many years of hard work, continued health and happiness for many more years to enjoy it. The Annual Leitrim GAA Awards Night has been set for Friday 27th January, 2012 in the Bush Hotel, tickets can be ordered from Runaí Coiste Chontae Liatroma,Diarmuid Sweeney so keep that night free in your dairies .

Junior Club Player
Congratulations to ladies Junior A Club Player of the Year Annmaire Gallagher, very well deserved and hopefully the start for many more awards for Annmarie and Drumkeerin.

Well done to Kate Byrne who won a Senior Girls Connacht All Star at the weekend wishing Kate the best in the inter provincils this weekend cumming

Yearly Lotto's
It's that time of year again when yearly lotto's are available for purchase. Tickets this year cost €50 and a free Drumkeerin Supporters sticker. Sellers will be out in the next few days or can be purchased of any member of the executive

Membership
Membership is due,there will be a registeration night for under age players in cumming weeks.

Training
Gym training on a Monday and Wednesday will now become club training starting at 8pm. Training Saturday night at 7:30pm.
Coaching course
The club will be hosting a foundation Coaching course on Monday 6th February and Tuesday 7th February. All coaches are obliged to attend the course as it is a requirement. There will also be a child welfare and protection course on Wednesday 15th February. Times and venues TBC.

London Trip
