Club Re-Opening:

The long awaited return to the GAA field has taken place.Teams returned to action last week in line with regulations. It was a pleasant familiarity to hear and see activity around the park again. 

A reminder to all players coaches and parents that the Player Health Questionnaire must be reconfirmed prior to arriving at the park. A reminder to all to take notice of the safeguards in place at the park as training resumes.

 

Championship:

The Smith Monumentals Intermediate and VistaMed Junior A Championship Draws were made on Friday night. The Intermediate team will face Kiltubrid, Dromahair, Carrigallen and Drumkeerin in the group stages. The Junior A team will face Cloone, Glencar Manor, Glenfarne Kilty and Carrigallen. Both teams will have two home games in the group stages. Intermediate Championship is due to begin weekend July 18/19 and Junior Championship to begin weekend 25/26 July. 

 

The structure of the adult championship competitions will be different this year. Each team will have two home and two away games in the round-robin match series in all championships. Clubs will retain the gates at these matches in an effort to assist clubs financially in a season where fundraising activity is at a minimum. All knockout games will have a winner on day scenario, apart from the championship finals. 

 

Underage:

Underage competitions are scheduled to start w/c Monday 20th July with U17 (Minor) games on Monday evenings and U15 and U13 games on alternate Friday evenings.

 

Membership:

We ask any adult player who has not yet paid membership to please do so this week. Parents / Guardians of underage players please check you have membership paid.
