U15
Our U15s travelled to Ballinamore on Thursday 16th to take on MacDiarmada Gaels which is an amalgamation of Kilturbrid and Ballinamore. We hit the ground running from the start. We never gave them an inch anywhere on the field. Half time score was Gortletteragh 13 MacDiarmada Gaels 03. We continued the second half in the same style. Final score was Gortletteragh 3-17 Mac Diarmada Gaels 1-05. It’s a credit to the coaches and players to play such a nice style of football.
We played Mohill at home Monday 20th. We had a good win.
Next up was Manorhamilton away Thursday 23rd. Manorhamilton stormed into a 1-02 lead , our boys didn’t panic and went into the break up by 2 points. The second half was fast football Manor went into the lead again, but these lads don’t lie down and came back fighting and were very unlucky not to win the game. The final score was 4-11 to 4-12. It had to be said that this bunch of lads and the coaches have to be complemented on their style of football that they are playing.
At time of going to print we will have played the League Semi Final vs St Mary's.
Division 1
The Senior lads travelled to Manorhamilton on Sunday, unfortunately they couldn't come away with the win. There will be another break now until after the Qualifiers
Division 4
The Division 4 lads are out vs Aughawillan this weekend, day time may be subject to change so keep an eye on facebook foe details
County Matters
Well done to Kevin McGrath and the County Hurlers who got off the mark in the Lory Meagher with a win over Cavan on Saturday. Fermanagh are next for these lads.
Wicklow are the visitors to Carrick in Round 1 of the Qualifiers. After the excitement of the finish in Aughrim earlier this year a good game seems in store. Best of luck to the lads in preparation for the game.
