Duffy seeks reaction

February 14, 2018

Fermanagh manager Sean Duffy is looking for a response from his players following their opening day defeat in the NHL 3B.

They lost out to Lancashire by a massive 17-point margin and now this weekend they take on a Leitrim side that lost to the same opposition by a point.

However, Duffy pointed out to the fact that there is never much between the counties when they clash and he told the Fermanagh Herald that he is expecting the same kind of result at Brewster Park on Sunday.

"We're anticipating a big improvement from our lads," said Duffy. "The last day we were over-run and we're definitely looking for a reaction. We'll have to be a lot closer to Leitrim. The last day our performance wasn't good enough.

"Usually Leitrim and ourselves have tough battles. As long as I've been around there's never much in it. But Leitrim are probably further down the road than us. We're rebuilding this year and Leitrim are a big strong physical team so we'll have our hands full, there's no point saying we won't."
