There will be no fewer than five new faces on the Leitrim GAA executive for 2018.

The deadline for nominations closed on Wednesday evening and now the race for the positions of vice-chairman, Central Council delegate, Development Officer, Connacht Council delegate and Assistant Treasurer begin in earnest.

The Leitrim County Board have posted a message on their website urging people to get involved with the county board.

The statement reads: "While all positions on the Management Committee are open to nomination and contest, the very fact that 5 positions will be guaranteed to have different personnel in 2018 will hopefully encourage GAA people from around the county to show an interest in getting involved in the management of Leitrim GAA business from 2018 forward."
