Jim Fitzgerald The committee and members of the Ballypickas G.A.A club were saddened to learn of the death of the late Jim Fitzgerald, Green Road. Jim was a member of the Ballypickas junior hurling team in 1955 that won the championship and was a very loyal supporter of the club all down the years. The present members and some of his playing colleagues formed a guard of honour along with the ICMSA on the arrival of his remains to Abbeyleix Church.
