Laois manager Seamus Plunkett has called on the county's supporters to come out in force against Galway.

The O'Moore County take on the Connacht side in the Leinster SHC semi final at Portlaoise on Sunday afternoon.

Laois go in as massive underdogs for the match, but Plunkett believes that the supporters can play their part on the day.

Speaking to the Leinster Express he said: "We lost connection with the supporters and that's all integral to building a successful team, which had been missing from Laois hurling.

"When things were getting tight against Antrim the supporters were important to us, and it's real support."
