The Gathering Weekend in Clane

The Gathering Weekend is coming to Clane on 14th, 15th & 16th June.
On Friday, we have a Traditional Night with the Rip Roaring Marys playing in Clane GAA at 8.30pm with Free Admission and finger food on the night
On Saturday, we have a re-enactment of the 1963 and 1983 county finals with Clane playing Moorefield in the Senior Hurling at 2pm and Clane playing Round Towers at 4pm for the Senior Football Barry Gallagher Cup. Later on Saturday, the Gathering Commemoration Dinner Dance takes place at 8pm in the club, where members of the successful 1963 & 1983 teams will be present and commemorated. A Cabaret featuring Vladamir and music are also on the night. Limited tickets available in club bar after 4pm.
On Sunday, The Tommy Conneff Memorial Challenge is taking place at 11am. Who can beat his world record which still stands after a century long?? - ½ MILE (2.4k) FAMILY FUN RUN' (Tommy Conneff World Record time of 6m 46s) OR '3½ MILE (5.6K) ROAD RACE (Tommy Conneff World Record time of 17m 42s). Family Fee: €20(2A+2C) Individual: €10. You can register on the morning from 10am.
Later on Sunday afternoon, there is a feast of Gaelic Games with underage hurling and football finals and ladies football & camogie finals on the day. The weekend will conclude with music in the club from 6pm and admission is free.
