Quigley quits Laois

Laois midfield star Brendan Quigley
Laois' hopes of bouncing back from their Leinster SFC exit at the hands of Louth have been dealt a massive blow with the decision of midfielder Brendan Quigley to travel to the US for the summer.
Quigley plans to follow Kevin Meaney and Gary Walsh to the States for employment.
Meaney and Walsh boarded a plane just days after the O'Moore County had suffered a 10-point defeat against the Wee County.
An All Star nominee last year, Quigley's absence will be keenly felt when Laois take to the starting line for the All-Ireland qualifiers.
Earlier in the year talented dual star Cahir Healy decided to throw his lot in with the county hurlers.
