Laois full back Brian Campion looks set to miss the Leinster SHC semi-final against Galway.

The Rathdowney-Errill clubman lasted only eight minutes on Sunday as the O'Moore County battled past their neighbours Carlow and it is feared that he has torn his groin.

This would make Campion a definite non-starter for the historic provincial semi-final meeting with the Tribesmen on Saturday, June 15th.

The 2012 Laois captain is awaiting the results of a scan but manager Seamus Plunkett is resigned to being without his defensive rock when the midlanders square up to the defending Leinster champions in eleven days' time. Tweet
