Laois manager Eddie Brennan is determined that his charges learn from their clash against Wexford last weekend.

Brennan stressed that there is no point in playing the likes of these teams unless you are willing to learn from the games, irrespective of the result.

Wexford ran out comfortable winners as they stepped up a gear in the second half at O’Moore Park and Brennan told the Leinster Express that they must take something from the game.

“They’re Leinster champions, they are Walsh Cup champions, they have designs on where the All-Ireland is going to go this year and they will want to retain their title, so you look up and you admire where they are at and it’s where we want to be,” said Brennan.

“There is massive learnings for us from the game and that’s the key to it, when the Leinster champions and All-Ireland semi-finalists are coming to your patch you’re going to have it tough, you’re not going to have anything easy, so we have to pull the learning out of that and then we tidy it up.”
