Mayo manager Peter Leahy is congratulated after the game

MAYO manager Peter Leahy has made two changes in personnel for tomorrow’s (SAT) TG4 Connacht Ladies Senior Football Championship Final replay with Galway at the Gaelic Grounds, Limerick (4pm).

Leahy has brought Kathryn Sullivan and Dayna Finn into his starting line-up, with Tamara O’Connor and Ciara Whyte dropping to the bench.

Sullivan has been listed at left-half back, with Finn named to play alongside Clodagh McManamon at midfield.

There’s a boost for Mayo, too, with captain Niamh Kelly clear to play after her red card from an enthralling drawn encounter at Elvery’s MacHale Park on June 23 was rescinded.

Galway, who are aiming for a third successive provincial title, had to battle hard for a draw at the first time of asking against a fiercely-determined Mayo, who are seeking a first Provincial senior title since 2016.

The eagerly-anticipated replay will be broadcast LIVE on the LGFA’s Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/LadiesGaelicFootball/, with Jerome Quinn and long-serving Waterford star Michelle Ryan in the commentary box from 3.45pm.

The fixture will precede the men’s All-Ireland SFC Round 4 qualifier match between the two counties, which will get underway at 7pm.

Leahy will be hoping that his side can produce their second half heroics over the full hour, and possibly beyond, at the second time of asking.

Mayo trailed by four points at the break but with Rachel Kearns in scintillating form up front, the green and red turned the game on its head.

Galway skipper Tracey Leonard did have a late chance to win the game with a free but a draw was the fair result on the day – and the two old rivals must now do it all over again.

Galway (v Mayo): L Murphy; S Molloy, S Lynch, F Cooney; B Hannon, S Burke, C Cooney; L Ward, Á McDonagh; O Divilly, T Leonard (capt.), M Glynn; L Coen, R Leonard, S Conneally.
