Tyrone girls-only summer camps set for August

Tyrone ladies development officer Kevin Mc Crystal and Karen Mc Elhill from the sponsors Galaxy facilities management are joined by Tyrone senior players Christiane Hunter, Emma Brennan, Niamh O'Neill and Maria Canavan to kick start the new Cairde Thir Eoghain summer camps.
Young Ladies footballers from across Tyrone will this summer get the chance to perfect their skills and learn from the best in the game at a series of girls-only summer camps.
The camps will take place at both Youth Sport Omagh and the Mid-Ulster Sports Arena in Cookstown, affording girls from age 8-12 years old the chance to spend four days under the tutelage of the Tyrone county coaches, as well as a number of current Tyrone senior stars who will take time out from their Championship campaign to help these stars of the future.
The camps, which will run Monday-Thursday from 2pm-5pm, are open to all females aged 8-12, and will take place on the following dates:
Omagh (Youth Sport) - Monday 5th - Thursday 8th August
Cookstown (MUSA) - Monday 19th - Thursday 22nd August
Price for attendance is £30 per person, or £58 for two siblings.
Tyrone Ladies Development Officer, Kevin McCrystal, said: "We are delighted that we are . We've been working on the content of the camps for a number of months now, and we believe that any player's game will benefit greatly from attending. It's going to be a great opportunity for them to enhance their skills and their knowledge, as well as having fun."
Primary sponsors of the new initiative, Galaxy Facilities Management, have a long association with underage Tyrone sides, and Karen McElhill is delighted to reinforce that commitment through their support for the camps, saying: "We firmly believe in giving as many young girls as possible the opportunity to further themselves, and that's why we are delighted to be involved. There is a real wave of momentum behind womens' sport at present, which is great to see, and if these camps help these girls achieve their goals, then that can only be a huge positive for them."
