GAA on TV this weekend: six games to watch

It is a weekend of All-Ireland football semi-finals, with five in total between mens, ladies and minor.

Saturday sees the day start with the replayed football senior semi-final between Mayo and Kerry which is on RTE and Sky.

TG4 then has two ladies semi-finals, with the intermediate game up first between Meath and Tipperary while the senior semi-final between Dublin and Kerry throws in at 6.30pm.

The All-Ireland SFC semi-final between Dublin and Tyrone on Sunday is on RTE2 and Sky.

Before that TG4 has the U17 football decider between Roscommon and Tyrone (throw in 11.45am) and the minor semi-final as Derry face Dublin.

TG4 has a documentary on Hill 16 at 8.30pm.

Later on the Sunday Game reviews all the weekend action at 9.30pm on RTE2.

On Monday night GAA 2017 on TG4 features coverage of the weekend's senior, minor and ladies games at 8pm.

Everyone knows what Hill 16 is but how many know the rich history and magic that occurs there on a matchday when the fans bring this dormant volcano in Dublin's Northside to life? The terrace at the Railway end of the playing field was constructed in the 1930s with rubble from the Easter Rising and given its new name. This documentary illustrates the rich history and unique connection Dublin GAA fans have with Hill 16 and how that bond began.

Des Cahill is joined by Ciaran Whelan and Tomás Ó Sé for highlights and analysis of Dublin v Tyrone. Plus, a look ahead to next weekend's All-Ireland Hurling Championship final.
