The late Thomas Tennyson Mr Thomas Tennyson died at his residence in Mabbitstown, Hugginstown after a brief illness. He was 61 years old. Mr Tennyson was father of John Tennyson, the Kilkenny All-Ireland senior and under-21 hurler. He was a family man and farmer, with a great interest in horses. As a young man he hurled as full forward with Carrickshock, and a club jersey was placed on Mr Tennyson's coffin at his burial. His remains were removed to Hugginstown Church. Mass was celebrated by Fr Liam Cassin, and burial followed in Calcary Cemetery. Mr Tennyson is survived by his wife Stella (nee Holden), sons, Pat, Brian, John and Niall; daughters Ms Karina Langton and Ms Alice Tennyson; mother Kate; brothers Michael and JP; sisters Ms Joan Cullen, Ms Margaret McHugh and Ms Marian Irish; grandson Dermot; other relatives and friends.
