The Late Con Malone
Dicksboro GAA Club has paid tribute to a devoted member.
Con Malone, formerly of Old Callan Road, Kilkenny, died at St Columba's Hospital, Thomastown, where he was a patient for some years.
For several seasons Con was a member of the "Boro juvenile committee and was associated with many young teams.
Club committee members and supporters attended Con's funeral at Mullinarrigle, Tullogher last night ( Tuesday).
The Club's maroon jersey was placed on Con's coffin.
Burial is at Mullinarigle Cemetery today (Wednesday) following Requiem Mass.
Con was pre-deceased by his wife Brigid.
A devoted couple, their lives revolved around Dicksboro GAA Club and at Con's funeral many recalled Brigid's favourite saying: "Up the Boro".
