It was all one-way traffic as Kilkenny comfortably saw off Kildare in the Leinster MHC at Newbridge.

A goal from Alan Murphy after just 10 seconds set the tone for the match and the Cats raced into a 5-9 to 1-3 half-time lead.

Murphy completed his hat-trick of goals two minutes after the resumption.
