Kilkenny manager Brian Cody
Brian Cody has adequate structures in place so that Kilkenny's hurlers can cope in his absence.
According to selector Martin Fogarty, the legendary team manager - who won't be at Sunday's league final as he's recuperating from heart surgery - has already impressed on his players that their fate lies in their own hands:
"Brian has put a structure in place where everyone just gets on with the business," Fogarty told local radio station KCLR.
"Players play the matches and Brian would always hand over ownership to the players.
"We will be saying that in the meeting on the Friday night before the match and again in the dressing room on Sunday.
"Brian always says it is up to the players. The game is not going to be won and lost on the sideline.
"We would have the ultimate confidence that the players know what they are about. They have not won what they have won over the years without being able to do the business."
