The Emeralds clubman has been sidelined since breaking his leg in a NHL game against Offaly in April, but he played in a weekend practice match, in which he lined out in the unfamiliar position of corner back.
JJ Delaney, Tommy Walsh, Richie Power and Henry Shefflin took no part in the practice match, with Shefflin having reportedly felt unwell. Power is believed to be nursing a minor injury which won't keep him out of the All-Ireland semi-final. Tweet
