NFL 4: Simple for London
February 06, 2011
London 0-16
Kilkenny 0-2
London made the anticipated winning start to the Allianz National Football League Division 4 season against whipping boys Kilkenny at Ruislip.
The Cats needed the advantage of the conditions to gain any foothold but when London won the toss and elected to play with the considerable breeze, the game was already all over bar the shouting.
London tagged on 13 scores without reply in that opening 35 minutes, with Eoin O'Neill in good form from play and placed balls.
Kilkenny's first score of the day came from substitute Declan Garvey early in the second half but London closed out the win without any fuss or real invention from there until the final whistle.
