Kilkenny and Clare to name teams tonight

September 03, 2010
Kilkenny will announce their All-Ireland senior and minor line-ups at 9 o'clock tonight, while Clare will also reveal their All-Ireland minor final selection this evening.

The big question on every hurling follower's lips is: will Henry Shefflin be fit to start for Kilkenny after damaging his cruciate ligament in the semi-final win over Cork? Another question that remains to be answered is: will John Tennyson be fit to fill in for the injured Brian Hogan at centre back? Like Shefflin, Tennyson has been receiving intensive treatment on a cruciate ligament injury in a bid to be fit for the Cats' five-in-a-row bid.

Meanwhile, Kilkenny minor boss Richie Mulrooney is expected to go with the same team which hammered Galway in the ESB All-Ireland minor final against Clare. The Banner are planning without Clonlara clubman Cathal O'Connell, who is recovering after undergoing surgery.
