Work is being carried out on St Conleth's Park, Newbridge to increase its capacity.

Following the Slattery Report carried out last year, the Kildare venue's capacity was reduced to 6,200 because of health and safety restrictions.

However, remedial work is being carried out on the grounds and it is hoped that the capacity can be increased to 10,000.

The county board hope to have the work finished in a couple of months and that it will then pass a health and safety inspection. Tweet
