Sunderland keen to drive on

Kildare hurling manager Willie Sunderland
Kildare manager Willie Sunderland feels there is a lot more to come from his charges in the Christy Ring Cup.
The Lilywhites opened their championship campaign with a comfortable win over Mayo last weekend and now they host Meath at St Conleth's Park on Saturday.
Despite, the good performance against Mayo, Sunderland feels that there is certainly room for improvement.
"Playing in a higher league has got to be an advantage. But you have to use that advantage when you go out and play in the championship," Sunderland stressed to the Leinster Leader.
"There is no point in saying that 'we played five top teams in Division 2A and it's great preparation for the Christy Ring' because you have to go and perform when you step out across the white line.
"We even said it at half time that I thought that in the last 15 minutes we really would be able to open up and that the difference would show and that in the end did show. We picked off some great scores and Mayo just didn't seem to have the fitness level or whatever to be able to stick with us."
