Hanniffy, Frank

March 03, 2011
The Carbury community were in shock when they heard the news on the sudden death of Frank Hanniffy (Hawkfield,Newbridge) formerly of Coonough, Carbury.
Frank passed away at his home at Hawfield, Newbridge early on Friday morning (18th February).
As the news of his death filtered through to Carbury people were visibly shocked and upset at his sudden passing.
He had been on a recent trip to Australia where he went to visit his daughter.
Frank was extremely well- known in the Newbridge area where he drove a bus for almost 25 years and was well loved by the many children he drove to school. He was a good driver and a great mechanic.
In his younger days, he played football for Carbury and was on many a winning side, he was also a great supporter of Moorefield GAA Club.
His Funeral Mass to St. Conleth's Church, Newbridge and his burial at St. Conleth's Cemetery was attended by a huge crowd from Carbury, Edenderry, Rhode and Newbridge which was a testament to the high esteem in which Frank was held by all who came to know him during his life.
Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Betty, son Francis, daughters Jackie, Fidelma, Caroline, Eithne & Blathnaid.
May he rest in Peace.
