Flynn set for Kildare return?

Following the worrying finish to their FL2 campaign, Kildare could be boosted by the return of star forward Daniel Flynn.

The Lilywhites travelled to Donegal last weekend knowing that a win over the home side would see them promoted to FL1 for 2020.

However, they suffered a heavy defeat to the Tir Conaill men who themselves have been promoted to the top flight.

It will have been a worrying display for Cian O’Neill and his selectors as they begin preparations for the Leinster SFC.

Nonetheless, Flynn has returned home from the U.S and there is no doubt that O’Neill will be making (or already has) the call to get the Johnstownbridge man back in the squad.

Flynn was outstanding for Kildare last year, which saw him earn an All-Star nominee, but it was revealed in December that he was taking the year out to go travelling.

The news of his return to Ireland will have Kildare supporters holding their breath in anticipation of lining out for the county this year.
