Kildare SFC: Celbridge and Naas progress to semis

The line-up for this year's Kildare SFC semi-finals will see Celbridge up against Athy and Naas take on champions Moorefield.

Last year's beaten finalists Celbridge easily overcame Carbury by 1-15 to 0-10, while Naas edged St Laurences on a 1-13 to 2-7 in the first part of yesterday's quarter-final double-header at St Conleth's Park.

David Hughes (0-5) and Liam O'Flynn (1-1) led the scoring charts for Celbridge with the latter's goal giving them a 1-6 to 0-5 half-time lead.

Ailin McDermott hit 1-3 as Naas turned the tables on St Laurences who inflicted a 3-11 to 0-13 defeat on them in the last round of the group stage.
