Membership Now Due

Kildangan GAA Membership for 2018 is now due. For those interested in playing for the club this year, your membership must be paid before 31st March. The form can be downloaded from the 'About Us' section of our website. Please contact our club registrar, Michael Higgins, on 086 3585580 or email [email protected] for further information if you are interested in becoming a member.
 

New and returning members will receive a FREE car sticker. Those registered are entitled to take an active part in the running of the club, and any that are over 18 on the January 1st are entitled to vote at the AGM.
 

Adult members are also entitled to entry in a draw for football or hurling All-Ireland final tickets
 

The fees for this year are as follows:
 

Adult - Playing: €80

Adult - Non Playing: €40

Student (Over 18 in Full Time Education/Apprenticeship. Requires valid Student ID): €40

First Child: €40

Second Child: €30 (Total €70)

Third Child: €20 (Total €90)

Fourth Child: €10 (Total €100)

Family Membership (2 Adults as Full Members and all Children under 18): €120
 

These fees are vital to the club because they cover registration, insurance, referee fees, entry fees to championships and leagues and facilities maintenance, so please ensure to return your membership form and fee as soon as possible.
 

Juvenile Registration Evening

Our Juvenile Registration evening will take place on Friday, 23rd March at the clubhouse in More O'Ferrall Park from 6.30pm, which juvenile training beginning on the same day from 7.00pm. 
 

We will also be offering the option to buy an Academy kit on the registration evening, which includes a jersey, shorts and socks, for only €10 extra with every membership taken out. Supply is limited don't miss out! 
 

All newcomers for these ages are very welcome. Any parents who would like to get involved in coaching or otherwise help out. No experience is necessary as all sessions will be supervised by qualified coaches.

Handel's Messiah in aid of HOPE(D)

Messiah: An Oratorio by George F Handel, will take place in Our Lady of victories Church, Kildangan, on Saturday 24 March at 7.30pm sharp. Tickets are €20 each and are on sale at the Parish Office - 045 526737. All proceeds are going to HOPE(D) (Helping Other People Endure Depression), which is a local counselling service. Kildangan GAA would like to ask you to consider supporting this very worthy cause.
 

Pigeon House Lotto

The Kildangan GAA Pigeon House Lotto draw plays a huge part in the fundraising efforts of your local club, and gives you the chance to win a massive €10,000!
 

Here's how it works: any four numbers from 1 to 28 are selected, and if you match these four numbers, you have won. If there is no jackpot winner in our weekly draw, there will five 'Lucky Dip' prizes of €30 each. There have been two Jackpot winning club members in recent years, and we also have multiple 'Lucky Dip' winners every week. The results are posted on our website weekly.

Senior Training

Training for the Kildangan senior football team is underway and manager Shane Stafford is putting the players through their paces in preparation for the league which is due to start in a number of weeks. 
 

Are you looking to try something new this year? Gaelic football is a great way to keep fit and get to know people, and new players are always welcome to join the team. If you'd like to get involved, be it as a player, mentor or simply to volunteer in another role, email [email protected] for more details.
 

Abbey Rangers 

Our under 14 amalgamation with Ballykelly got off to a fantastic start in the the Féile with an emphatic 7-15 to 3-7 win over St. Edwards on Monday, 12th March in Ballykelly. The North Kildare side were resilient throughout the game, but could not hold off Rangers' challenge. We now face Ballymore Eustace in Ballykelly on Sunday at 10.15am. All support would be greatly appreciated!
