Manager Leahy praises big-player contribution

April 01, 2005
Finuge boss Maurice Leahy has paid tribute to the big-name players on his team, who stood up to be counted when it mattered most. The magnanimous manager says: "Paul [Galvin] was unreal today and he showed why he is an All Star. When you are playing at club level you need your big players to come good and, by god, was he big today. "So was Eamonn Fitzmaurice, while Enda Galvin did everything at centre forward that you would wish for. "Then there was Eamon Breen in the dressing room beforehand and he was unreal. The speech he gave the lads was so inspiring and it was so moving that it would draw tears from a stone. "He was tremendous, as he wanted to be there so much, and he played such a big part in this. "Overall, it was some team effort."
