Despite Colm Cooper failing to make the scoresheet, Dr Crokes march on to the semi-final stages of the Munster Club SFC following their six-point victory over Castlehaven in Killarney.

The 'Gooch' was well marshalled by the Cork side's defence in what was a repeat of last year's decider bu team-mates, such as Brian Looney, stepped up to the plate and delivered in style.

Gavin O'Shea's goal, which arrived 11 minutes from time, gave Dr Crokes plenty of breathing space as the final whistle approached.

There was an element of good fortune attached to the goal as Daithi Casey's point attempt fell short before deflecting off O'Shea into the back of the Castlehaven net.

The Killarney men went in at the break holding a 0-7 to 0-4 advantage and the Castlehaven attack largely malfunctioned with Brian Hurley kept quiet by the combined efforts of Luke Quinn and Eoin Brosnan.

Dr Crokes advance to a semi-final meeting with newly crowned Tipperary champions Loughmore-Castliney.
