Donaghy: plenty left in the tank

Kerry's Kieran Donaghy
Kieran Donaghy doesn't subscribe to the theory that Kerry is a team with too many miles on the clock.
The Kingdom have been described as an aging squad but Donaghy says that the likes of Tomas O Se, Eoin Brosnan and Colm Cooper have plenty left in the tank.
"There are throw-away comments when a team loses about the older lads, that they should retire," Donaghy remarked to the Irish Independent.
"I look at Tomas O Se now and he looks as fit now as he did when he was 25. He hasn't had many injuries, so why should he retire when he's enjoying playing football? I think as a team we're not thinking like that."
Kerry doesn't feature too highly on many All-Ireland winner prediction lists but Donaghy has no qualms about that.
"I think it's fair," he opined.
"The reality is that we've been beaten in two quarter-finals and a final in the last three years in Croke Park."
