Kerry selector Diarmuid Murphy acknowledges the fact that their supporters always expect success.
Speaking to the Kerryman at the launch of the Munster senior football championship this week, the former All-Ireland winner admitted that winning was bred into Kerry folk.
Expectations in the county are always high and the former goalkeeper admits that anything less than winning Sam Maguire is seen as a failure.
"Yes, this is Kerry, they always expect success," stated Murphy. "For players I don't think it makes any difference really.
"Players don't tend to look at that sort of thing because in Kerry there is always going to be a certain level of expectation and it is our job to reach that, and while it may not always be possible, we must always make sure that we try."
