Mickey Ned O'Sullivan claims Kerry will need to be more ruthless if they're dethrone Tipperary as Munster minor football champions.

The Kingdom were comfortable 1-15 to 2-6 winners over John Kiely's Waterford in last night's semi-final at Fitzgerald Stadium, but their manager believes they still have a lot to work on ahead of the final.

"It's a work-in-progress," he is quoted in the Irish Examiner.

"We played well against the wind for 20 minutes in the first half but then I felt the lads stood back and thought that they had their job done. Young lads can take their foot off the pedal, they're only learning to be ruthless and they're not ruthless yet anyway."
