Kingdom not giving up on Moran

Kerry's David Moran
Kerry hope to welcome David Moran back sooner rather than later.
The midfielder has undergone laser eye treatment after suffering a torn retina in Saturday's SF challenge against Laois and will definitely miss the May 26th Munster SFC opener against Tipperary in Killarney.
But selector Diarmuid Murphy has dismissed suggestions that the player could lose the sight in his eye, adding that he hopes to see him back in the Kingdom colours this summer:
"He just got a bang on the eye," Murphy says in The Irish Daily Star. "He caught a kick-out and a fella tried to dislodge the ball out of his hands.
"It's a freak injury. It could happen to anybody at any time.
"The retina was torn. He had a laser procedure as that's less invasive than surgery and he goes back in next week and they will have a look at it again.
"It's a pity for him - but this isn't the end of the year for him. The best-case scenario is he'll be back soon enough for us.
"He was finding a bit of form so hopefully he'll he'll be back in action again soon."
