Crotta O'Neill's have been forced to withdraw from this years championship.
Crotta O'Neill's who contested the 2011 Kerry SHC final have been forced to withdraw from this year's campaign due to a lack of players.

The club have lost up to 18 players to emigration and players moving elsewhere in the country for employment.

The stark reality of the situation means that Crotta O'Neill's, one of the county's hurling strongholds will not be represented in the 2013 senior hurling championship.

Speaking to the Kerryman, Crotta O'Neill's chairman Paddy Weir admitted that they had no option but to withdraw.

"It's extremely disappointing, but a sign of the times unfortunately," said Weir. "There are a lot of clubs in the same boat. It just seems to be the way it's going."
