Colm Cooper showed his star quality when scoring 1-7 for Dr Crokes in their 1-17 to 0-14 Kerry club SFC victory over Kerins O'Rahilly's on Saturday.

The Kingdom sharpshooter grabbed a first half goal to help the Munster club champions to a 1-8 to 0-5 lead at half-time. Barry John Keating finished the game with 0-6 for the losers who could take encouragement from the performance of David Moran, who continues his recovery from a cruciate ligament injury.

Crokes can now look forward to a quarter-final meeting with Kieran Donaghy's Austin Stacks. Also through to the last eight are Legion who defeated St. Michael's/Foilmore by 2-15 to 0-16 after extra-time. Tweet
