A Roscommon club hurler scored a very impressive 0-17 in a senior hurling championship clash at the weekend.
While it didn't break any records, Athleague's Eamonn Flanagan's tally of 0-17 is something that deserves huge credit as it helped his side to a 1-23 to 0-10 win over Tremane in a SHC play-off game.
Broken down, Flanagan scored ten frees and seven from play in what was a man of the match performance by the talented corner forward.
To score such a high tally in any type of game is commendable, but to do it in the championship is even more spectacular.
