Tony Kelly and Cian Dillon will act as joint captains for Clare's senior hurlers in 2016.

It is the second year in-a-row that manager Davy Fitzgerald has decided to share the armband between two players, with Pat Donnellan and Dillon having filled the joint roles this past season.

It is thought that the decision by Fitzgerald to have two captains rather than one is a bid to try and spread responsibilities among the players - by appointing Kelly and Dillon his team will have a leader in both attack and defence.

It has also been confirmed that Colin Ryan and Shane O'Donnell will act as vice-captains for the Banner men in 2016.
