Sunderland wants to keep momentum going

Kildare manager Willie Sunderland is eager for his charges to keep their winning momentum going.

The Lilywhites defeated Wicklow in the Christy Ring Cup quarterfinal last weekend and this Saturday they take on Kerry in the semi final.

Some might say, more time is needed to prepare for an All-Ireland semi final, but Sunderland stressed to the Leinster Leader that he was happy for the games to keep coming.

"Sometimes when you're on a run, getting to an All-Ireland semi final is a good run in itself, but you can go on with that and there is a momentum with that," said the Kildare manager.

"I've seen it in the past, you think some teams are getting tired but going on sheer adrenaline alone and the fact that they are in an All-Ireland semi final should stand to them."
