This Sunday, Waterford veteran Michael 'Brick' Walsh is set to make his 65th championship appearance.

If selected, Walsh will draw level with Waterford legend Tony Browne who tops the county's all time championship appearance list.

The 34-year-old first made his championship debut in 2003 when introduced as a substitute against Kerry and 14 years later, he is still an integral part of the side.

Walsh will also draw level with the great Christy Ring and Kilkenny's JJ Delaney, but he is still eight championship appearances from ex-Tipperary goalkeeper Brendan Cummins who has 73 appearances to his credit.

Walsh has played all over the field for the Deise, but this season he has been deployed as a wing forward for his ball winning skills.
