Final countdown to One wall extravaganza
June 30, 2010
The eagerly awaited GAA Handball One Wall Nationals 2010 is now just days away as a record number of participants from all over the country, plus a team from England, will travel to Breaffy House Sports Arena to contest 21 grades of competition. The very great nature of the game of handball is significant in that there will be children as young as 6 and 7 participating in the Under 10 Handball for Fun event and there will be an 83 year old world handball finalist in action on the very same court moments later - GAA Handball is without question a sport for Life!
The draws are now complete for this top class festival of handball and all grades can be accessed by clicking on the link below with details, information, draws and schedules of all games over the course of the weekend.
This event will also see a first for GAA Handball as all the main GAA Handball Sponsors (M Donnelly, O'Neills Sports and Ladbrokes.com) will be featuring as part of a promotional sponsorship opportunity for GAA Handball's recognised charity for 2010 - the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This follows on from the GAA Handball Showdown and will continue right up to that highly anticipated tournament in December 2010.
The action on Sunday will also be televised as part of the ongoing recording initiative by GAA Handball in the build-up to the GAA Handball TV series to be shown on TG4 later this year - details of which will be announced over the weekend. This weekend will also see the launch of the new GAA Handball Coaching DVD as well as announcements in relation to promotional literature, coaching resource packs and the new GAA Handball online shop.
NB - IMPORTANT Points of note in relation to the draws:
