Michael Kavanagh
The parish of Caherlistrane was equally shocked at the sudden death on October 9 of Michael Kavanagh of Ballinduff, Corrandulla.
Aged only 34, he collapsed and died following the County Final.
A builder in partnership with his brother Pat, he was the developer of the College Green estate on Tuam's Dunmore Road.
His success in the building industry enabled him to give generous sponsorship to Caherlistrane GAA Club, which he had represented on the playing field.
His was also a very big funeral, and the sympathy of the community is extended to his wife Chris and two young children.
